After a recent weekend visit to see our grandson, we noticed some regression and were really concerned about it. He was so different from our last visit at Thanksgiving. There were many things going on that could cause even the most secure child to be anxious and so these things, that included the loss of a pet due to natural causes and his favourite pony not doing very well, can be chalked up to being part of the cause. As you are all aware, changes, whether real or perceived are alarming for the little ones that are already unstable. We expressed our concerns, and are greatful that our daughter does not take offense when we ask. We try to ask kindly, and of course can't help but offer a bit of opinion and suggestion, again kindly and well meant. She has the strength and compassion of a thousand rolled into one...her answer was, "we know you will have days where you don't understand and question why we do something. Have FAITH in us, that we know our child better than anyone else and will do what is right". Once again our FAITH is renewed. We are truly blessed.
